Bodywork is the overarching term used for all types of massage and movement therapy, and here at Cornerstone Therapies, we encourage our clients to embrace the harmonious combination of this unique style of holistic wellness.
Massage based Bodywork is specifically designed around your needs, which means that your therapist will be blending techniques to bring ease to your body. Often this includes introducing warmth or coolness with the use of stones, fascial release, massage with oils, trigger point work and stretching.
Massage is an ancient form of neutral touch that encourages the body to self-heal in a very gentle way and is fantastic for all who want to embrace a well-rounded approach to their holistic wellbeing.
Bodywork comes in many different varieties. For those who want to join us and relax by booking a specific form of the discipline, (for example Hot Stones, Sports Therapy or Myofascial Release), do let us know and we can make sure that your Therapist is aware of your requirements.
What To Wear
It is best to arrive at your session with us wearing the relaxed clothing that you would do for any yoga or pilates class. This is so you can feel relaxed, but also so we then have the freedom to incorporate stretching techniques after the hands on massage if that is required.
Please be aware that we do use oils, so only wear clothes that you are happy wearing whilst your skin is enjoying them.
